Open Studio Guidelines

We now offer an Open Studio for metal clay. The schedule will be posted on our website each month; dates & times will vary to accommodate as many of our customer’s schedules as possible. ◊ Please contact us if our posted schedule doesn’t meet your needs; we may be able to schedule additional studio times. Before you register for studio time, you must attend a free one hour orientation (no exceptions). Orientations will be scheduled twice per month. If you are unable to attend a scheduled orientation, please contact us to arrange an appointment. Studio users must be at least 14 years of age. Studio users under the age of 18 must bring a parent/legal guardian to the orientation. The parent/legal guardian must sign a release granting permission for the studio user to attend open studio sessions without the parent/legal guardian being in attendance. All studio users: failure to abide by the procedures & safety rules may result in you not being able to use the open studio and you may be financially responsible for damage caused. ◊

At this time, we are offering Art Clay Silver & Gold only (Art Clay Copper is going to be available soon!) We may be adding BRONZclay & COPPRclay in the future; fees & information will be available for their special firing program at that time. If you work with PMC at home, you can still rent kiln & tumbler time; you will be asked to supply the firing schedule for your projects.

Our studio kit contains approximately 60 tools as well as dehydrators, kilns, & tumblers. You will also have access to numerous textures, molds, punches, and other clay working tools. Studio time and equipment use will be available according to a fee schedule (additional charges will apply to all “consumable” supplies: clay, syringe clay, paste, liver of sulfur gel, etc.
